this is a great place to stay in a small quiet town. the staff are very helpful and friendly, and they really care about you as a person. there are restaurants nearby and a small shopping center within walking distance. not far from city life, if that's your thing, about an hr's drive to Charlotte, I prefer a quiet country living environment. ammenities include cable tv, free internet , microwave , and small refrigerator with freezer. comfortable accomodations. 2 stories, and the top rooms have balconies. convenient location right off I-40, ample parking. i am really enjoying my stay here!!!

Great rooms for the price. Good location near hickory but away from busyness. Nice size truck parking in rear. Had a weekly rate at my time of staying which really helped with my construction crew while we were in the area. My guys liked the smoking room availability for the same price, especially on these colder winter nights.

This little inn delivered much more than I was expecting. I checked in because it was close by and I was curious. At check in, the man behind the counter was friendly, listened to me chatter patiently, handled the transaction quickly and answered all my questions. When I got to the room, I was pleasantly surprised that it was more spacious than I had anticipated; I was given an Accessibility room. It has a mini fridge and a microwave, both clean, both seem to be in good working order (I didn't use the microwave but the fridge kept my drinks frosty). It also has a TV, though I didn't turn it on. The room also features a desk, always a plus for remote work or simply to sit and enjoy a meal at. The hotel also features a pool, closed at the moment of 16 April 2021, and a laundry room, which is in good working order. But the biggest thing about the hotel was the cleanliness of the place. I check corners and tops for dust, and I always see bunnies in the corners and little gremlins of dust in the hard to reach places. Not here! There was a very thin film of dust on a hanging picture frame in the room, but that was IT - the corners and lampshades are SPOTLESS. The floor in both the room and the hallway are both just as clean, which I also don't see as much these days, and the bed felt like it had a feather top on it. The sheets were almost luxurious and the bedding thick, the color pleasing (I'm not fond of sterile white that most hotels use so that's personal preference). The outer door locks, accessible by key card, and the hotel door has the standard electric lock, and a deadbolt. It also had a peephole at waist level, for wheelchair-bound guests. There is also truck parking around back. I wouldn't recommend several full tractor and trailers in the lot (it's a tad tight), but one could possibly/maybe squeeze in. Several bobtails would be fine. There is ample parking and a good deal of lighting in the parking lot, as well as camera surveillance and fast response to issues (there were none except me looking lost on my way to the laundry room, and the desk clerk peeked out to let me know where to go). If you're in the area, I would highly recommend the location. There's good local food in several nearby places and delivery available, and the room is an absolute steal on pricing when I consider how relaxed I felt in a room beyond the clean of most hotels and the soft, comfortable bed. The space is a little dated, but wears it's age well and the staff were great and friendly.

This is a very nice place to lay your head down when you just need to get away. The people that work there are so nice and helpful. The rooms are clean from top to bottom. And the location is great too. Couldn't ask for a better place to rest and couldn't ask for nicer workers.

I have stayed twice here and both times were great. My room was clean . But the most important part for me was how quiet it was . A family run business that cares about customer service.

Overall, my experience was pretty good. The clerk who checked me in was cool and very informal, which is typical of the area since I'm not from here. You pretty much get what you pay for, and it helped me out a lot because I didn't want to pay those high numbers just to sleep for a night.
